GRIM DAWN OPENING CINEMATIC
Crate Entertainment (2016)
In late 2015, I was brought on to help with the creation of an intro cinematic for Crate Entertainment's Grim Dawn. Specifically, I handled the first 1:22 of animation, as well as a handful of shots in the latter half of the piece. Ben Coello served as the cinematic lead, while Kindra Haugen supplied the lovely artwork. Additional animation was handled by Matthew Oswald.
In development for around six years, Grim Dawn's 2016 release has not only been a major achievement in indy game development, but has been met with rave reviews from critics and fans alike. Of course, it was an honor to contribute to such an esteemed project, and to work with some very talented veteran developers. On a personal note, however, it was also wonderful to work with some of my 38 Studios colleagues again as well! A special thanks to Crate's Arthur Bruno and Scott Duquette for having me on the team, as well as for all of their feedback and support throughout the process. Working with the good folks at Crate was a great experience throughout!
